Everybody loves butter. I mean, what better topping to drizzle on your popcorn, as an addition to your macaroni and cheese, and dolloped atop a steaming pancake. Yes, sweet, sweet butter, that dairy invention loved the world round is most spreadable at around 60 degrees Fahrenheit. Exposure to sun, light, and elevated temperatures will cause the butter to go rancid rather quickly. These sticks had been sitting atop the kitchen counter for several months, including a sultry Minnesota summer. Like all discarded foodstuffs, it ended up in the dump.
