No time to hem and haw. [/caption]
I must confess that this is the only decent photograph that I took in the basement. It was packed with fascinating, telling items: boxes of motorcycle enthusiast magazines from the 1980s; a vintage martini set; a wall full of spray paint; hundreds of printer cartridges. But the lights didn't work, so the only detail I was able to capture was this sewing machine as the last rays of sun sneaked through a basement window and shone on this piece. I don't know when this machine was manufactured, but judging from the style and fonts, I'd guess mid- to late-1960s.
