[caption id="attachment_691" align="aligncenter" width="640" caption="Dirty Dave and his oldest daughter, Madison, led the charge at Toys R Us."][/caption] Dirty Dave is full of Christmas cheer. Bursting with it. So much so, that he has infected all of us at DuAll with his unique Christmas spirit. [caption id="attachment_693" align="aligncenter" width="640" caption="A Toys R Us employee instructs Madison on the finer points of these dolls. Through a meeting with Joe Johnson, a philanthropist who runs the organization One For Joe, Dave decided that DuAll would be the largest single contributor at a toy drive that took place this past Saturday at Andover Cinema. Mr. Johnson, a true networker and go-getter, was the perfect person to us rally around a cause. [caption id="attachment_692" align="aligncenter" width="425" caption="Dave and Mark Dooner, one of the owners of DuAll,  prepare to check out."][/caption] That cause was The Miracles of Mitch Foundation, which provides support to families of children with cancer. This holiday season, Mr. Johnson and Steve Chepokas, Co-Founder of Miracles of Mitch (and Mitch's dad; read his story here) worked to collect toys for kids with cancer. "Our cause gets overlooked a little bit this time of year," said Mr. Chepokas. "Other toy drives around the holidays are better known. We work to make sure our kids have toys, too," said Mr. Chepokas. [caption id="attachment_694" align="aligncenter" width="640" caption="This stack of toys tantalizes me."][/caption]
Through Dave's efforts and the generosity of the DuAll team, we were able to raise the most money for the toy drive. Toys R Us in Blaine was extremely generous with us, too, and they donated several items right on the spot.

The next day, the movie theater was abuzz with families, reindeer, Santa, and more. Member of Blind, Inc. were on hand, showcasing their handmade toys. Carolers sweetened the air with holiday music. And toys came pouring in.

It was a great event. Thank you to everyone who donated. We're already looking forward to next year's toy drive. I'd like to extend a special thanks to Dirty Dave, who has shown us all what this season is all about.
