Do Marijuana and Painting Mix?

Posted on by Peter

Is it the suburbs, or is it the Walker Art Center?

Hand-painting seems to be popular again. The reference to “The Shining” is good for someone wandering around in a vacant home, I question their assertion that the south will rise again. It may, but I doubt it will extend all the way into Minnesota.

How was such a work of art inspired? The clock provides some clues, and just in case you couldn’t make sense of the time by looking at the hands, the artist has helpfully provided the time: 4:20, which is slang for marijuana culture, or the stoner’s happy hour.

A more refined piece.

Another room offers a more skillful take on in-home murals. If I bought the house, my first personal touch would be to paint all the walls in a less flashy fashion. But that’s just me. Perhaps these unsigned works of art will be a selling point for someone, especially if he’s viewing the house at twenty past four in the afternoon.

Thanks to Missy Hudoba from Metro Cities Realty for sending in these pics. If you, Dear Garbage Lover, have an interesting photo of a home, send it to me at pmajerle (at) duallservices dot com. I look forward to seeing what madness your lens finds.
