An oddly placed plunger.
I had the opportunity to explore a nasty garbage house in the city yesterday. I’ll post a photo essay on that exploratory mission in a day or so, but here’s a sneak preview. This first image comes from an upstairs bedroom located far away from any toilet. With all the disarray in the home, this upright plunger sitting in the middle of the room caught my eye.
First contact.
The above photo is what you initially see upon entering this home. What you don’t get from this pic is the smell, a mixture of rotten garbage, moisture, animal waste, and decades of accumulation of greasy grime. It always takes a second to get used to it, but the stench is never an obstacle to getting the job done.
