No Electricty Doesn’t Mean No Light

Let there be light.

The power had been cut months before, but squatters had moved in, looking for cheap shelter and the modicum of protection that four walls offer. This did not inhibit these informal residents from enjoying late-night games of Parcheesi, though. A simple, battery-powered lantern threw enough light across the room to make the simple living quarters feel just a bit more homelike.

Now, you might be wondering about water and sewer issues. These were addressed with large jugs, and buckets, respectively. I have decided not to show the buckets we found. I think you’ll understand.
