I wrote a while ago about a really nasty house in Minneapolis. I remember when Dirty Dave burst through through the front door to assess the situation, and he immediately began to cough and gag. Trash was piled up in the porch, basement and in every room in the house. The old rubbish, combined with strong pet odors, made us think that this house might have to be razed.
When we finished trashing it out and cleaning it, though, the dwelling took on a new character. Gone was the old garbage house, the rotting shell of a sordid existence. Instead, there was a worn-but-livable ninety-year-old classic home in a quite neighborhood in the heard of the city. Here are some pics.
The garden looked fine, and from the street, you’d never know that this place housed hundreds of cubic yards of trash. And now, there is no trace of what used to be.

I didn't take a before pic of the entire bathroom as it was so bad that I couldn't get in there. This is what we uncovered, and then polished.
